Either run tminst again, and change the zoom feature to on or just edit tm.cfg so that the line near the end under windows setup starting off "back=" and ending with "off, off, on" is now "on, off,on". You can also just go to the backscroll menu, hit alt-z, then save the option. Hope this helps. richard * OLX 2.1 TD * Get a clue? Jeff, I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "if requested"; but then again, I *rarely* have need to use the .QWK feature of Telemate since I use a full blown frontend mailer instead. I am not sure if this is nationwide, but it is sure a problem in the state of Florida at the moment. While CompuServe is a fine organization, and totally reputabile in their business, there does appear to be a bit of a glitch in that part at the moment. For those of you using CompuServe to register your Telemate, you might want to be advise to not "assume" anything but rather to follow up very closely on the matter for awhile until they get whatever is wrong .... fixed. The USA National RegSite Team is in no way connected to or affiliated with CompuServe. WH> I suppose you are using the Microsoft mouse setting. In this case, the WH> COM port is ALSO None because the mouse driver hide all the COM port WH> information. In fact, program should NOT be accessing the COM port WH> when the mouse driver is used. So this is NOT a problem. I am experiencing some problems with it. I use a Logitech trackball, which apparently returns MS mouse version to programs that query it. Regardless, I will lose control of the mouse after switching around in Telemate, from the terminal window to view and edit and so forth. This is exacerbated when file transfers are done using DSZ/GSZ. Sometimes I can go to backscroll or view and not have a mouse nor keyboard, the only thing that works is to use the right or center button to escape out. I can then go back to the view/backscroll and use the mouse properly. The situation will deteriorate over accumulated time online. Sometimes, I'll lose the mouse entirely and have to reload it, while online, by opening the Options menu and selecting the mouse. Telemate will then "reload" the mouse driver and it will function properly. This problem occurs in both 4.12 and 4.20 and on 2 different machines. Additionally, I've encountered a strange problem with 4.xx in Win NT 3.51. Telemate will work okay as long as I leave it full screen and don't switch it to the background. If it is switched to the background, the video is corrupted and will eventually lockup. This is in the 25 line mode. I switched to the 26 line, CGA,EGA,VGA mode, the problem goes away... But, I lose over an inch of screen. The video card is an ATI Mach64 PCI. I am beginning to think that perhaps the 25 line mode is also part of the problem I have with the mouse. Something is different about the generic 25 line mode from the 26 line mode. Would it be possible to add 25 line VGA mode to the setup? Thanks ... Criminals love Gun Control.
