I live in McKinney and would like to find one close :) Well, since I'm only right down the road from ya, you can get the new Telemate files direct from me if you wish. If you have a frontend mailer, just FReq magic filename: TM and that will get you all four files. Or, you can log onto the BBS and download the new Telemate from File Area #2 on the first call. The BBS phone number is: 817-542-7388 at speeds up to 28.8k > (2) Will my registration number work on the new Dos Version? You bet .... no problem whatsoever. > I'd hate to download it Long Distance just to find out I need > to re-register. Nah .... grab the new version Frank; you should have no trouble at all with your registration data. If for some weird reason you do run into a problem, lemme know, and we'll take care of ya. > Thanks, I can't wait to see this all working and upgraded. I have followed Gordon Van Scheik's excellent and lengthy "Running DOS Telecommunication Programs Under Windows" to the letter, to no avail. Everything works fine, except for the errors during high-speed transfers, of course, until I remark out combuff and add chcomb.386 in my SYSTEM.INI. My modem then begins accepting only about half of the initialization string. An "ATZ" command does nothing to "wake" the modem up, but Telemate seems to function fine otherwise and my mouse works throughout. I am running an internal USR 14.4 fax/modem on com 2 with a mouse on com 1, nothing on com 3, and I have disabled (via a jumper on my ATIO card) com 4. It matters not whether I use cybercom or Delrina's wfxcomm, the result is the same. Any suggestions? ...
