I poped up here because I knew your stomping grounds. Couple of things, did your brother(?) make use of the 250 watt amp I gave you about the time you moved? Or was it Steever I gave it to? I've wondered since I never heard back about it. Second I wish to invite all of you to join the other sysops in R10 by logging onto r10@webworldinc.com on your browser. I spoke briefly the other day with David Unfried your NC. He was moving but since has signrd on. The "echo" is 18 days old and 30 some odd members. Just put the word SUSCRIBE in the RE: line and your e-mail address on first line of the body of message. Tell the others up there that may not know due to mail interuption. With A Marshall you can get fat tone with a roomstick BR> and baling wire...oh sorry, just described a Strat! :) I can get fatter tone with my Tele and my Showman. :) Funny thing is that I actually think Marshall tone is really trebly and thin, even with the presence down and the midrange cranked. I HATE treble. I've found the same problem with all the JCM800s and JCM900s I've ever played. However, I do have to say that the JTM45 RI is pretty creamy, but, if I remember correctly, it wasn't made that long after the Marshall Bassman. :) I love a big thump on the bottom end, creamy midrange, and just enough treble to make a Strat glisten. I get that with my Showman. :) ...This copy of ProBoard has been unregistered for 999 days! --- * Origin: Paradise Lost -/- Fight-O-Net refugee center (1:2630/219) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 175 GUITAR Ref: F5G00332 Date: 05/01/98 From: TOM SCIOSCIA Time: 09:38pm \/To: BILL RILEY (Read 0 times) Subj: JTM 800 head & Westbury guitars BR> Uhhh, I think that may be hole in your head you're decribing...
