I'm interested in the following setup screen. I'm running Allfix/2 version 5 and Max/2 v3.01. I'm mainly interested in the following settings... LongDesc Character Description width Spaces to indent One Line LongDesc Here's what I'm running now and it seems to work, but, is there a better setting? By reading the docs for Allfix it sounds like the longest description I could have would be 255 characters with everything truncated after that. True? It's not realy a problem, but I think it's a shame that maximus lacks the option to configure the amount of files to be allowed to get tagged. And you could only use external protocols with that since maximus only allows 32 files in a row. I don't know about "best" way, but I do it this way: Each machine defines a task number (-n is passed in the MAX call) To prevent users using a particular node: _ _ _ O / _ _ C_U_T_ H_E_R_E_ _ _ _ O \ First line of logo.mec: [iftask]1 [display]p:\max\misc\logopriv And logopriv.mec contains whatever I want it to say, which is usually a check against a key and a hangup with a message if the user doesn't have that key. _ _ _ O / _ _ C_U_T_ H_E_R_E_ _ _ _ O \ Cheers...
