Not on the tip of my tongue, but I know I grabbed it from the net, try www.shareware.com and search for netmodem, I believe thats where I started, then it will direct you to a site from which you can DL the file. Just generate it on-the-fly and delete afterwards. Let me see if I am following this correctly: instead of having a preset cfg for each user, you would use a method to create it each time (sort of like how door.sys drop files are done). Since I do not use timed but am intersted in this idea of another user editor, I still have a few questions even though this is a good idea. From previous posts there are apparently cfg options the sysop would want to control (pre-can) and that would be consistent with your idea. However, are there user options like header/text display colours, quoting style, taglines, etc that would/could still be very individual? How would they get placed in the on-the-fly generation? How would they be stored for retrieval? That's on the editor.....then tagged areas, last read pointers, etc from the bbs end still need to be picked up, don't they? --- Maximus 2.02 * Origin: DelaMarPenn MicroNet -+- Newark, Delaware (1:150/115) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 174 MUFFIN (MAXIMUS) Ref: F1M00007Date: 01/17/98 From: MICHAEL EPLER Time: 03:14am \/To: DAVID CHORD (Read 1 times) Subj: Only tag 32 files DC> And how does that work when *you* are the person DC> wanting to d/l more than 32 files, and moving either DC> machine impossible? :-) On the humorous side: Buy'em on cd..... :-) or get very good at scripting your comm term with nested, recursive batch files that keep shifting to the next filelist of 32 titles for the really extreme case that someone, somewhere is going to post here to justify why this is a needed feature...... --- Maximus 2.02 * Origin: DelaMarPenn MicroNet -+- Newark, Delaware (1:150/115) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 174 MUFFIN (MAXIMUS) Ref: F1M00008Date: 01/17/98 From: ROBBY DITTMANN Time: 07:14am \/To: SANDER NIJHOF (Read 1 times) Subj: Only tag 32 files SN> what else can we do, but to wait.. .
