I know this isn't quite what you're asking but I =can= talk to you about Binkley-NT, Maximus-NT and Windows-NT or running or Binkley, Maximus, X00 and Windows-95. I went with Windows-NT because I couldn't get things to work using a Windows FOSSIL and I was able to get Windows-NT at the educational price (about $140US). One bit of information (which you may already know) is that the "normal" errorlevel exits we use for DOS doesn't work correctly. I used the spawn option and Binkley shells out to run everything. By the way you'll want to run the START command for Squish when it is spawned or it will crash (sorry I don't remember the error message). LF > Also for the com it giving me 7 instead of 1 in the bbsbatch file. when LF > it goes to the bbs it say there is no fossil loaded. Can someone help I got this with Windows-NT before getting things sorted out. As I recall the fix was to go with the spawn option. My guess is 7 was the handle (I seem to recall this system was giving me 20). LF > step by step or if someone lives Toronto area phone my board and I will LF > give you my voice number. This is Thanksgiving here and I won't be back to work until Monday. If you're still having problems and have Internet mail access you can contact me at s-read@indstate.edu and I can try some things on a test machine. We must have something setup differently here because callers with Transient access can connect. We added a check in WELCOME.MEC for Transient users that tells them they are "persona non gratia." I created a MEC for these folks (BUZZ-OFF.MEC) and added the following line at the start of WELCOME.MEC: [tequal link]misc\buzz-off Another place you could put this is ACCESS.CTL (you can display a file based on security). I found this option early on but at the time didn't feel comfortable changing ACCESS.CTL.
