When you disable alias in max, does it still leave the option for an alias in the user file open? And if aka's aren't impliminted, how is the bulk mail accomplished? That's what i use on my system, it works great. In msgarea.ctl area 1 is flagged only with the Pvt style, but sysops can still enter public messages, so if you address a public message to all, it'll get read using the browse command above.
