First, you don't number your ctl DG> files :) Just use msgarea.ctl, mine carries about 70- DG> 80 echo bases nicely. As for the menu, just make a DG> menu in menus.ctl(Max is easier then you think). DG> Then all you have to do is setup your area's. I understand what you are saying, but I am not sure you understand me. I want to have different listings for each message area. To have a separate listing, don't I need a separate control file? Right now, I have one control file and all echos list down the screen. I want an easy way to add new ones, and have the numbers make sense. I started the local ones with #1, the Fido local with #11 and Fido National with #40 so that I can add more without changing numbers often. I would like to set it up so that when you go into the message area, you can select Local, Fido Local or Fido National and I figured that I would need a separate control file for each area. Maybe that can explain it a little better. DG> I'm lookin for a quick way to make sure that when DG> people want to use E-mail through my BBS, they can in a DG> few easy steps.. Could you let me know if you find DG> some? (I already have a Fido <-> Inet E-mail gateway DG> running here). I know that there are a few programs out that can be setup, but I use the Fido Netmail area on my bbs for both netmail and Internet e-mail. I also made a text file with instructions on how to write e-mail and I have a *READ ONLY* message area with e-mail instructions and other bulletins from me. On the listing of message areas, I have Netmail & Internet e-mail, so my callers can go right to that area. I am sure that there are more features in 3.01, but I like the way v2.02 works and I don't feel I want to learn new methods. The language Mec is good for me. There are only one or two features that I wish could be implemented, but since I can't have them without changing to a different software, I have to make the best of what I am running. My pet peeve is when authors upgrade, they change functions basic things instead of just adding features.
