Thats what I saw when I tried it a few years ago. Mine is still sitting in a box waiting for DOS (VDOS?) drivers for it. I was hoping SIO would be brought up to be able to support it, but not yet. I'm always interested in native OS/2 doors. I wish Joel Downer hadn't abandoned Doors/2. I was a registered user (with source) for it when he quit. It's still at Opendoor v5 level. I'm something of a Max dummy even though I've run my board with it for years. I've never delved into MEX or use it. What I'm wondering about the above is, are we using MECCA to call up MEX routines? Would that work just as is, without enabling MEX somewhere? * SLMR 2.1a * "Behind every great fortune there is a crime." - Balzac --- Maximus 3.01 * Origin: The Gate - Coos Bay, Oregon USA (1:356/4) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 174 MUFFIN (MAXIMUS) Ref: EAQ00002Date: 06/20/97 From: JACK SMITH Time: 01:08pm \/To: LARRY RINK (Read 1 times) Subj: Events On Jun 18, 1997, Larry Rink wrote to All: LR> I run FrontDoor\Squish\Maximus 3.0 .... For example, I correctly observe FidoNet ZMH by not allowing callers on the BBS during that hour. Here, ZMH is observed from 0400-0500 (CDT). If a caller who normally has 60 minutes/day calls at 0330 he will receive only 30 minutes on the BBS for this call. A DOBBS.BAT created by the mailer might be: EXEBBS 14400 2 30 /Arq 1 In EXEBBS.BAT, we have: Max -b%1 -p%2 -t%3 -e1 -n1 -s115200 Note that the "-t%3" passes the maximum time (left) to Maximus; if it's only 30, that's all the caller gets. If you're not using the DOBBS method to load Max, I don't know what to tell you. I've never done it any other way (and won't). :) I run InterMail, not FrontDoor but the operation is similar. AFAIK, v4.63 was the last _valid_ release, Gary. Can't say if the author is still supporting/developing it.
