Remember, at least two of the O.J. jurors were ready to acquit at the close of that trial, but they changed their mind in almost record time when the deliberations got under way. Again, if you're facing a potential life sentence for a felony (though clearly he wouldn't have gotten life for a first offense) vs. probation for a misdomeaner, are you going to take the chance that the jury will "probably" acquit?
