As for an IHL team ,the IHl is getting kind of goofy with the new rule changes, so another minor league team would probably be better. --- Maximus 2.01wb * Origin: Basic'ly Computers: Mooo-ing Right Along. College hockey GB> deliveres far fewer NHL players than, say, Canadian Major Junior, or GB> Russian Junior. Thats because they do a poor job in preparing there players for the pros. The best players that come out of there (like Paul Kariya and Anson Carter) are usually Canadian and played most of their lives in the Canadian system before going to the US. The deficiency of their system really came to light when the Canadian CIAU all-stars (made up of players who actually pay for their education, and play hockey secondary) beat the American NCAA all-stars (made up of players on hockey scholarships). Because of this a record number of players were drafted out of the CIAU this past year and is now more heavily scouted. The NCAA meanwhile experiences a drop back below 10. Canadian Juniors still have about 130 players drafted from their ranks every year. Even the national US junior team recognizes the problems with the US college and use mostly Americans playing in the Canadian juniors. They are also trying hard to get their American junior league (USHL) established as a supplement to the college program. Sincerely Yours David G. Riess EchoHockeyGhod ...
