Hi I don't know if you and I do the same thing. I embroider with the silk ribbon itself. No sewing machine thread is involved. Can you describe how your projects are done. I'm not real good about returning to half finished projects I put down in a past incarnation. I'm better at starting a new undertaking that I can all enthusiastic about. I did complete a RE shirt for my mom and sent it to her this week. I completed another with beads in a floral chain pattern that I then sewed onto the t-shirt instead of using them as a necklace. Embroidery went on the back burner as I did my greeting cards for the month. I went to a sale at the local stamp store this week and bought a Father's Day stamp and some new acryllic stuff that looked worth trying. It creates raised shiny surfaces over colored areas on a card or a shrinky dink. It's a bit leaky and hard to use but I like the effect. Hope you are smiling and getting stronger. I think it last went to Charman Adams (or maybe it never arrived there). Does anyone know of its whereabouts? I would like to use it for a lesson I am giving. Between cards, quilting and a -> web site, you sound as if you have plenty on your plate. fortunately I do have these things to keep me very busy or I think I would go nuts! I started some cards last night for an internet swap. The theme is "roses" and since I have a good number of rose stamps and had a few ideas to work with it wasn't long before I was able to put together a composition that I am pleased with. I will work on them today so I can get them in the mail asap. It does feel good to be able to do these compositions. For the ongest time I have not had the chance to do just the "fun" stuff. The wedding invitations kept me busy as far as stamping for the longest time... and then had a number of quilting projects that I needed to catch up on. -> Aside from cleaning and company, which I've had plenty of these days, I -> too have been busy making cards and beading. One of my big loves is -> making earrings and I just never seem to have enough. All I have to do -> is see one new idea and I have to try it. You would think with all the bead, findings and other embellishments that I have here I would try my hand at making jewelry... I have the supplies here because I have wanted to do some but then my other loves have just remained at the top of the list... maybe soon I will pull out some of these other things and see what I can come up with. -> This week I worked on a necklace made from weaving seed beads into a -> series of flowers. It came out pretty and now I'm thinking about whether -> to attach it to a blouse or add a clasp to make it an actual necklace. This project sounds like it has come out absoutely beautiful... especially since it is a piece that can be use in seperate ways... sounds like something that you could make a matching set of one for the necklace and another for a blouse! -> Keep smiling. I'll have to check out your web site again soon. Always1!!!! Have to keep smiling!!! Attitude is 99%!!!! will be talking with you again real soon. Well here it is 11:30 at night and I have had a most productive and very busy day. After I got home from my doctor appt this afternoon I went right to work on the crafty floor project. By 9:30pm I had it done!!!! And it even looked the way it should!!! Jerry was amazed at how professional it looked... now mind you of course I can see the mistakes and fortunatly those mistakes to the floor are covered in tiles and carpet... The neat thing how ever is that I even was able to get in some more enjoyable crafting today that was an unexpected pleasure. I was able to even complete a nice pergamano piece. I was working on it as I was waiting for other parts of the day to proceed... of course I did not waste a moment of precious crafting time. Tomorrow I plan on planting some bulbs if the weather is clearer. And then it will be back to some more RS projects and quilting projects that I have here on hand to do. hope to hear from you all soon.
