Hi Pat, Well I am still here ... and still pluggin' along. *** Quoting Pat Knox to Julia Sidebottom dated 08-16-97 *** > You better get better!! We NEED YOU!!! Got the card in the mail > today. It is gorgeous!! Thanks! I am glad you like the card... :). I had fun making it. I am definitly working on technique now with them and have ventured into using some paints and of course my RS's to enhance these compositions. I made my first "cut away" card the other day and I definitly need to work on doing these... the card is very "lacy" looking and if you don't look real close you won't see my errors .... all in all I am very pleased with how it came out. My rubber stamps are now getting a pretty good work out again... the unfortunate thing though is that I can only do one craft at a time with out having a real mess here so my quilting is on hold for a bit while I work on catching up with my RS'ing... I still have 200 wedding invitations to get done too... and I want to get them going sometime this week . Plus I am terribly low on Birthday cards and other all occassion cards... And especially Note cards... so I want to get some made up so I have them when I really need them... I also just finished the lay outs last night for another 69 RS's that I will have made up! I am quite pleased with how many I am able to get into a single matrix... I will have 3 matrix made up this time around... Now as far as my health goes... I am still more wheezy than I would like to be. I am staying low with little physical activity right now... and am still on the continious oxygen for now... I am no longer light headed all the time though so my O2 saturation must be improving with the O2. So that is progress. I go back to the doctor tomorrow... so we will see what he has to say then... I am doing my very best to get it together believe me... I am willing to go ahead with another co-op at this time... Here is a list of the colors that will be available in this effort. Any one interested in this should send me a check for $25.00. The embossing powders will be evenly divided with each person getting one pound of embossing powder. The $25.00 covers the cost of the powder and shipping and handling fees. If you are interested in this please send a check to me and a first and second color choice from the list below: Again this is NOT a for profit endevor but a shared co-operative deal that we all will get equal shares of these powders for anyone interested in them. I am just offering my services to do the work in getting and dividing the shares for everyone... I will do my very best to fill all first choices... and will only use the alternate choice if your first choice was already chosen. This way we will all get more variety. The cut off for this co-op will be September 1st. So all checks should be to me before this date. Make your checks payable to "NEW LIFE CREATIONS". I will place the order on September 2nd. And with any luck you should all have your embossing powders by September 20th. Julia Sidebottom New Life Creations 3863 Florman Waterford, Mi 48329. ** NOTE: The $25.00 is per unit. If you wish to have more than one unit please send an additional $25.00 for each additional unit. ** One more additional note... if there are more than 10 people that sign up for the co-op you will all be given the option to split this co-op into two groups. With the last co-op because of the larger number of participants the average of each color was about an ounce per color . Each person will have a single vote with majority rule on whether to split or not to split the group up. So if this becomes an issue I will inform each participant in time to make an informed decission. As far as I can tell at this time it would only hold the order up for a couple of days.. .the deadline would remain unchanged and the order would go out on schedule... EMBOSSING POWDERS 1. I too have been doing some clothes sewing. I will be going to another serger class tomorrow night and will learn how to do tshirts. I haven't done one, o it should be really interesting. I picked up a new book yesterday. It is called "Sew Many Embellishments" by Nancy Zieman. I started doing some things out of it last night - basic couching, and embellished couching. I think I want to work through this book page by page. It looks really easy to do most of the things, and I will be doing them on quilt blocks I think. One block per each technique (or two). The book looks really interesting, and I am really glad I got it. Wendy, you need to check with your sysop to find out which area they want net mail to go to but in most cases you can just change the message headers to the net mail area on your board then mark the message private. And when addressing it you will want the node numbers for the person your sending to (If you were sending to me you would want the 1:138/323.8) found at the end of their message. You do not have to be on line to send net mail! I have sent net mail often enough that if I did it on line, I would run out of time at times. Just ask your sysop for help and they should be able to help you thru it. I no longer have a checking account, but will be sending you a money order for one unit in each co-op. I have no specific preference in the glitter co-op. My glitter stock is pretty pitiful right now and I would like you to put my choice on whichever one has not been chosen (they all sound so pretty, and I've drooled over a couple of them in stores, waiting for a good deal)! As for the EP, I would also like for you to choose a nice one that has not been chosen, with the stipulation that you NOT use my choice for any of the following: Vertigre, Enamelware, Penny Copper, Ruby Red, Flamingo Pink, or Halloween Orange. I still have plenty of those from the last co-op I was in. (If they've already been chosen, ok, I just don't want my choice used on those.) Many thanks for all your time and effort in bringing us such a great chance to get some beautiful powders!
