I received a phone call from Kathy just a half hour ago. She called twice. The first call I missed because I was out siphoning the gas out of the lawnmower so I can tip the thing on its side and take the blade off of it. She called right back though and I caught that call. She hasn't been posting much lately, but she has been lurking. She had a zip error occur so none of her posts have made it out. Now her DH sold her monitor and hasn't put the new monitor on her computer yet. So, she is off-line for a few days. Shauna, she hasn't mailed your block off to you yet, but she does have it ready to go. She said she has to make a block still for Teresa and one or two others, but has been very busy making clothes for Irene. The baby and all of the other kiddos are doing fine. Here's hoping that she won't be gone too long! Later!, Pat --- timEd/386 1.10+ * Origin: Too many hobbies! Too little time! I mailed my block to you yesterday. Hope that it gets to you soon. Have you received any others yet? For the others, Joan won the GSE for the month of April, but was offline and didn't find out till the month was almost over. We extended her win till the end of May. She chose a 5" gray or white or both granny, any pattern. Hope everyone whips one up for her! Later!, Pat --- timEd/386 1.10+ * Origin: Too many hobbies! Too little time! HI Lee Ann, *** Quoting Lee Ann Hamm to Julia Sidebottom dated 05-05-97 *** > Glad to hear you are feeling better and glad to hear you did some > quilting. That will help too. I am still draggie a good deal of the time... medication is helping some... and I am through with this initial series of x-rays and test. Some of the results are in and as expected. So now I will just be going through the process... ... My sewing and quilting are going some what slowly here as of late... but I am eyeing my RS closely... !!! I got a new RS in the mail yesterday and of course that wet the whistle a bit to dig out things that are stored away... It should be soon too that my cabinets will be going in so I can get at all my crafting supplies and things then will be at a hands grasp... that will make things so much better... I am so tired already of living in boxes. The block has no name, but I called it "Life, > Which > Way is UP?"! Well here it is the 15th of the month and I am just now getting the energy to get started on my block obligations for here. Hard for me to believe I am soooo slow... I think though that I got inspired to get going because of the Clewsew Mystery Quilt that I am working on. I knew that part #9 was coming out and I had not completed part #8... so I "forced" myself to do part #8, grabbed part #9 and did both of them yesterday... Part #9 was a "nightmare" for me... and I finally settled on an arrangement that I could live with ... and who knows if it is what the author had in mind... So now it is going on 9:00am here and I am up to get my block obligations done here for Fido... but first I had to be sure what was chosen by our winners... ... And because I am here to look at the block suggestions... I am also going to be sure to put this burst of energy to work and do a bit of posting at the same time... .. Your block for Doris sounds beautiful! I wish I were so creative!!!! My energy comes and goes these days and I do as much as I can while I have even little spurts of energy... Please know that I do appreciate all your concerns and prayers. I have been slowly backing out of many of the swaps and such that I have always participated in on the internet... so that I would be able to stay as active as possible here in the exchanges... they are most important to me here. I have been doing some quilting projects that are not real demanding. They are projects that I can do at a slower pace and do not require any time constraints... Anyway it is back to do some cutting and stitching on my MQBE and QBE...
