I may have several different things in various stages, but I know it has helped me tremendously! Even sorting buttons between crafts and my collection. I worked with the kids I babysit to do a Mother's Day project for their mothers. They used napkins and covered a box with them (using watered down glue) and then I have a jar of buttons they are allowed to play with and they chose buttons to embellish the top. With my own stuff in my mind and that being one of those emotionally packed days, by the time they were done I was very stressed. Thankfully I could let their projects be the way they are for their mom without feeling like I had to make them perfect. For the most part they did a good job. Anyway, it's the little things I do that help me a lot. JS> Well both teeth were taken care of in short order with a JS> lot of cost of course but at least it is done! All JS> the rest will just have to take care of itself in time.... I have more dentil work that needs to be done as well. It is being spread out more because of my panic attacks. Physically I have basically recovered, but now it is all the emotional issues (and the panic attacks and post traumatic stress) that is making things hard. Not to mention that stress increases one's pain. If I didn't have crafts to do I'd go crazy! Wendy @>-->--- ... I'm not sure about 3-4 year olds, but I've done this project with two 5 year olds and they had fun and didn't have much trouble. I picked up some plain brown boxes (heart shaped) that were inexpensive at my local craft store. I also bought a package of colorful napkins that you take apart so that you are only using one layer. Then you dilute glue down...about 50/50...with water, have the kids tear up the napkins and using the glue paint the box and stick the napkins on. They a coat of glue is also painted over the top (the kids use pain brushes). I then let them embellis with buttons. The kids I had do this seemed to enjoy it. It wasn't perfect, but they still look nice. Could be an idea that could be modified. Wendy @>-->--- ... The center is larger than most Ohio Stars, and my fabric between my star points is different from usual, thus the variation.
