Are you taking care of yourself? I hope the pressure of getting everything moved to the new place isn't too much for you. TH > trying to do a tree skirt for christmas and have 8 stars (various) Well, the tree skirt is finished. The crazy block went into the center, and the one star which wouldn't lay flat, got cut diagonally in half. I used a dark blue with white dots on (like snowflakes) for the sashing and binding, and a holly/evergreen print for the backing. About the only thing I still want to do to it is to make some ties for keeping it closed when it is around the tree. But no hurry on that. JS> Ohhhhh this sound soooo pretty!!!!! I am sure you are going to JS> figure it all out and have it done well before next Christmas... I even named it - Crazy Christmas Stars. I am really pleased with it. Then after I finished this, I launched right into a flag from Log Cabin blocks. The upper left field is blue with yellow pinwheels, and the stripes are red and white diagonally. It is totally out of scraps (except the backing), and it is really pretty. I totally enjoyed that one. Then this weekend I finished up a pair of jeans for my DH that I started several months ago. I have to make his work clothes as the uniform place doesn't have sizes that fit him comfortably. This makes the 4th pair of jeans I have made for him (and 6 shirts previously). I also make his dress pants, and have fabric for 3 pair in the sewing room, should the desire strike me. I am not happy with my kiddo tonight. He came down a few weeks ago and applied where I work. I put his application in front of a supervisor who decided he wanted to interview him today. Guess who didn't show up. Makes me look bad. Well, I better close. Teresa ... Misspelled? Impossible. Hi Julia: This one didn't have a single curve in it. It was basically 9 blocks laid out 3 by 3 and sashed between. I don't know if it will work on the tree, but we always sit our tree on a square endtable, so I thought a square tree skirt would work - we shall see at Christmas time.
