The echo's purpose will be for NB> the sharing of crafting-related information on the Internet, a NB> clearing-house, as it were. A place to share sites, and to inquire NB> about addresses.... Well, that being the case, I shall be glad to pick it up again. Congratulations on your "new baby". :-) I do want to tell you, though, that Bobbie Knopf tried the cross posting approach, and it wasn't too successful. Hopefully you will have better luck. Yo, Jim! :) Actually, any sysop can access the gateway without paying for it--they have to register with the gateway board. However, using systems do have to call it directly to exchange mail, no routing allowed. It is "free" in that there is no fee, but of course there are the LD telephone charges if you are not local to the gateway. We at The Northland Connection allow our users to send email free. Our only request is that they use it as a *occasional* mailer, and not send tons and tons, and that they be aware that it will be batched and only be sent a couple of times a week. So far, so good--no abusers, and several people do take advantage of the service. Seeya! Joan --- timEd/386 1.10 * Origin: TNC - (860) 963-1187 - 2.4kbps-33.6kbps! The last few years he's been more of a pencil pusher; writing curriculum and evaluating classes/instructors at the MI school here. I'm not sure what he's doing in Korea except that it is Joint Services, working with the Korean military. Rachel and I have been having fun watching late night reruns of MASH the past couple of months. Good luck with your slippers, sounds like a labor of love if you ask me. I hate to tear something apart and try to make it, I'd rather have the beginning pattern and start from scratch.. I just had to completely take apart a jacket my friend bought, it didn't fit in the sleeves at all and the back had to be taken in. she's a rather odd size and has a hard time finding clothes that even come close, so I try to help her out but I'd sure rather have the material and begin from the begin.. how's you Weather there. our is beautiful, not supposed to be this nice for another month or so, but we know it won't last, just wonder what old Mother Nature's got up her sleeve after that.
