I picked this bit of information from my financial services email page this morning. If the FCC succeeds that means that all of us 'ordinary joes' won't be using the Internet anymore. That is one reason the ISP's are fighting this with the FCC, therefore we as the costumers of ISP's should support there efforts from having these rate increases pushed by the FCC. If it goes thru it means we will pay tons of dollars more or we won't be able to afford the Internet and it most likely will put some of these ISP out of business because they will lose some of us to the Internet. WAR OF WORDS - The FCC continues to consider the demand by regional phone companies that they be allowed to require Internet Services providers to pay for service on a per-minute basis, like long-distance companies do, rather than by phone line, like other business phone customers. ISP's oppose payment of access fees, which would require them to raise there rates. The FCC wants to hear from consumers and has set-up a special email address isp@fcc.gov Let the FCC know your thoughts. ... You had sent a message in CA> December saying that it was better and hoped it would stay that way. I CA> hope it has continued to improve. What crafty things have you been CA> doing lately? Arm and shoulder doing great? Back to my old self thank God. Crafty things I am doing! None has of this week. That time of year to deal with my antiques and collectibles. Have several potential customers on the Internet to buy my sports/non-sports figures, cards, and magazines. I expect to do quite well with it. I have been spending the last couple days listing what I have, book value, and what I want for it. Also been busy with wire-services, early morning editions (major news-wire services), and my financial news page before noon, than in the afternoon I work with my collectibles getting them ready for shipping out to my buyers. I've been living of this type stuff for the last 5 years. It's seasonal and thats when I make my money. I will try in between though to work on my crafts. I have 3 sewing projects already started, couple caps and a vest. Also have washed tons of fabric and started cutting it for quilting later on. I've been going thru my craft and sewing rooms and deciding what supplies to get rid of. There is simply stuff I will never use. I decided any type craft that I don't plan to do in the next two years that I need to package up the stuff in craft related boxes, make a list and post it on the Fido (for sale) echo's and on the Internet (for sale) type echoes. I simply need the room for the rest of my crafting stuff. I know I will continue with my leather, sewing, quilting, scrolling crafts so everything else goes. These craft boxes will have supplies from beads to seashells and everything in between. And books I purchased and never used I will sell also, no more bookshelf room. I'm even gonna get rid of most of my ceramic molds, haven't worked with that in 3 years. I'm really hooked on this quilting stuff in the NRQ way. Guess that makes me a NOTRAD. Hee!Hee! Guess this is what one calls REGROUPING and deciding what is important in my crafting world. Doesn't mean I still won't on rare occasions do some other crafty thing though. :-) Well gotta go money's awasting. :-) ... There is Tandy Leather, the Leather Factory and others. Leather crafting supplies can be found in most craft stores like Michaels, Ben Franklin, Leather Factory (have a list here somewhere) and Tandy Leather (have a list here somewhere) will have to find them and post it for y'all. Tools, various supplies, dyes, leathers and such are found nationwide in these stores. Look in your yellow pages of major cities. And if you have Internet access do a search on Yahoo, Excite, and Deja News. For those curious Yahoo is a search tool for world wide, whereas Excite is a search tool for web pages, and deja news is a search tool for newsgroups. I have purchased most of my tools, dyes, leathers from the Leather Factory but Tandy has more as far as learning books and such but prices are higher. ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.20 * LAKOTA v1.5 --- Alexi/Mail 2.02b (#70) * Origin: Outhouse BBS -6 NODES-(912)368-9626/(912)368-9686/(912)368-6947 (1:3659/2) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 172 CRAFTING Ref: E2N00048 Date: 02/18/97 From: CHRISTINA FISCHER Time: 06:57pm \/To: ALL (Read 0 times) Subj: Soap Making ?63;1;2;3;4;6;7;8;9;13;15;16;18;19cAnybody make soap from scratch before?
