A memory card SI> shouldn't have to format no matter what. Unless you choose to. I agree it shouldn't, but sometimes they do.. Usually because of power surges and corruption due to power surges.. TA> In the US PS & N64 owners are instructed to put memory cards/paks in TA> AFTER the power is switched on, to prevent power Surges wiping the TA> card.. SI> I have no problems with the Sony Memory Card. Just the Plus SI> one. If I put it in before I turn it on, the card won't be read. SI> Then I wiggle it until it does read, but by that time, it's SI> formatted. Is that the Datel/Interact Plus card..? I have a official Sony card, A Mega Memory Plus & a Blaze card.. The MMP I have never had any problems with, the Sony card formatted itself once, but the crappy blaze on formats itself everytime i use it.. The main reason behind this is that the manufacturers say that the cards are 8 meg memory or 32 meg memory cards, but in reality they are just 2-4meg, they zip the data, which sometimes corrupts & no longer works.. Reviewed by John Hayward ComLynx? no (No thanks) The story line gives you some feeble plot about some bloke who nicks some nuclear waste from his workplace and puts it in his fridge and his brussel sprouts come alive. Hmm, this means this is a sideways scrolling beat em up which you have to kill these mutated food people and work you way down the screen, the monsters want to kill you equally keenly and fight back. A typical stab at this game means that you try and get close to your opponent, try unsucessfully to hit/kick him, and get a bit dead in the process. Luckily some energy ball things (I did not have instructions for this game either) appear and you really do need these as your energy takes a tumble with each alien you meet Overall I thought this game was dreadful, the controls are appalling and trying to hit an enemy is tricky, things might improve if you stick at it, but to be honest I could not be bothered, I just switched off, pulled the cart out and slapped in one of my usual favourites, you will too when you find out this game is bobbins. If you like beat em ups (I don't) you might think my rating is too harsh, you might want to try it, but I would not pay a lot for this cart without looking at it first. But there are a lot of games much better than this. Overall 33% Good Points Eh? Bad Points Aaagh!!! When asked about Psygnosis' N64 plans, an official maintained yesterday that the company is a "multi-platform developer" concentrating on PlayStation and PC titles, declining to comment further. However, two weeks ago, Psygnosis VP of Business Affairs Berry Kane told MMWire that N64 development is something that it will "definitely" consider, believing that "there is no reason why we won't look at all available platforms," including N64. A rocky history with its parent company may have sparked Psygnosis' expected move. Psygnosis' reported plans to support a platform from a company that rival's its parent's PlayStation is nothing new. Psygnosis-developed Wipeout and Destruction Derby were published by Softbank for Sega Saturn, a Psygnosis official says. Sony, in late 1996, tried to sell Psygnosis, reportedly for a bloated $200m-$300m, but removed the "for sale" sign that November, citing the quality of Destruction Derby and Wipeout XL. Ironically, our sources say that Destruction Derby and Wipeout XL are the first two Psygnosis titles expected for N64, presumably this year. Porting and revamping the PC- and PSX-based games to N64's cartridge-based format is being handled by Psygnosis' development studios in the U.K., one source told us. THQ, in early 1997, had inked a deal with Sega of America and Psygnosis to distribute seven Psygnosis Saturn titles. But the deal fell through and THQ did not distribute the games, a THQ official says. From: Silicon Times Report / *April 17, 1998* / *No.1415* ...
