Fl. 11 Atl 5 Sorry but Florida will be in contention this year, and the Braves losing 2 out of 3 vs Pitts, B4 they beat them 3 out of 4 at home, proves they are not invincible eihter.... as I said, Good Luck! I'm a n Ameriacn Leaguer anyway, translpanted to Orlando... Can't wait for next year when Tampa will be hosting the Detroit Tigers!!! BTW, watch out for Tony Clark with the same Tiger team, he had 27 HRs laast year in only 2/3 of a season, has 13 already, if it wasn't for Griffey's 16, he'd be leading the Bash Brothers, the Chicago Hope and everyone else.... can you say Choke in Cleveland and Chicago? They still can win it, but what a way to start after spenoing Zillions of dollars! Ha ha... Detroit has 2 #1 picks inthe Minors as well as 2 other starting pitchers, they will be back! It should help, they did have rosters at the beginning ofthe year, don't know how you'd get last year's copy, but i'm sure a book store might have a cheap magazine that would give you last year's as well... Baseball Weekly is only a buck, and better thatn any other coverage I've seen! 52 weeks a year!!!! Enjoy the Game! The Canadian won 2-1 over Sweden. Hmmmm... whatever happenned to the American team??? Just wondering..... Okay, the Conference Final is under way tonight with Detroit Red Wings playing the Colorado Avalanche, Vernon vs Roy, Draper vs Lemeiux, Yzerman vs Sakic and Fedorov vs Forsberg, and so on...... This is what the Final is supposed to be, the two best team in the West. Being a Detroit Red Wings' fan, I will have to pick my team to win in 6 games. Here's why: Offense is pretty well even between these two teams. Detroit have Stevie Y, Fedorov, Shanahan, Kozlov and others, while Avs have Forsberg, Sakic, Kamensky, Lemeiux and so on... I think the difference between these two teams is the team defense. Detroit I think had an advantage in this category. If you look at the way these two teams played the two previous series, you can tell Detroit played better. The powerplay, i'll say is for Colorado, penalty killing -- Detroit, goaltender, pretty well even. Roy might be the best goaltender in the NHL, but Mike Vernon, in his last year of his contract was playing like the Vernon of old when he beat Patrick Roy and the Canadiens on their own turf in Montreal. Vernon is in his Stanley Cup form, and will be tough to beat him. So Detroit in 6 games. PHILADELPHIA FLYERS vs NEW YORK RANGERS I'll say the youth will prevail in this series. Philadelphia is playing better this year. The only question I think is the goaltender, where I will give the nod to the Ranger's Richter. Problem is Richter didn't face any team that park their big players in front of the net, namely Lindros, Otto, LeClair, Renberg and whoever else. Garth Snow won the games for Philly this playoffs, and I don't see why Terry Murray would bench him for Hextall. The Ranger's big guns are old, namely Gretzky, Messier, and Robitaille. I'll say Otto will play against Messier's line, and maybe Hawerchuk's or Lindros line will play against Gretzky. Either way, the Rangers will be toast in 5-6 games. So, Philadelphia will win the series.... Detroit Red Wings will be the Stanley Cup Champion this year....
