There will be an upcoming Soul Edge Tournament put out by Namco (Owners of Aladdin's Castles and Cyberstations) in promotion for Jackie Chan's new movie "Super Cop". The rules are simple...beat the game in the fastest time, without playing in Time Attack Mode. The person with the fastest time at each store wins a Super Cop poster and collectors cup. Then, the fastest time from each store will be sent into head-quarters and compared with all fastest times. The FASTEST time in the country will receive a Super Cop "grab bag" of some sort and an autographed poster from Jackie Chan. I would love to play in this (Not because I like Jackie Chan or these prizes, but because I love Soul Edge =) but, I can't, because I'm a Namco employee...damn. I'm sure it JG> happened JG> to you, or anyone else too. Yes this has happened to me as well, and I fix games as well (I work for Namco at an Aladdin's Castle in WI). There are no magnets inside of pinball machines, with the exception of The House of Magic (I think that's the title) where the ball is suspended above the magic wand (which is a gimmick, not a trick to steal your ball). Most balls roll right down the middle due to poor cleaning/maintainence of the machine and grooves that have devolped in the machine's board. We have one pinball machine we just received recently (Wipeout) that has big dents in the wood playing surface from when the ball drops out of one of the ramps when it returns back to the playing surface. I've seen balls actually get stuck in those dents (kind of annoying so we had to fill them in with epoxy). <--sinjin> -*> jeph <*- Sysop on Screaming Demon ][ BBS Madison, Wi (608)257-1852 (ITCNet: 85:872/402) (PODSNet: 93/9806/6) (FIDONet: 1:121/63) --- CNet/3 * Origin: SD][ (608)257-1852 22 lines of pure excitment! The money you spend these days doesn't cost a lot because of the manufacture's greed (although I'm sure that's part of it =), it's because of: 1) Graphics 2) Sound 3) Special moves, etc. 4) Popularity Now, with the exception of #4, you can all agree that games like Pac-Man and Centapede (we have both) are not as advanced like KI2 is. Although KI2 might be harder to play, it's 'technically' a superior game. <--sinjin> -*> jeph <*- Sysop on Screaming Demon ][ BBS Madison, Wi (608)257-1852 (ITCNet: 85:872/402) (PODSNet: 93/9806/6) (FIDONet: 1:121/63) --- CNet/3 * Origin: SD][ (608)257-1852 22 lines of pure excitment!
