Now i guess since i am not one of those millions of people that decided to go with the flow to buy new computers and get more power. Where now more complex and exciting games are coming out. It's just a real shame that the software companies had to take this buy this and buy that role. Where if you want to play this or that, you must buy a better machine to run it. And i really missed those days back where software companies placed in the installation programs of great games tons of options to set up the game for your computer. So games fora 386 and 486 can also be played on a 286 through configuring the game. But, they don't do that anymore because of costs and that is a real shame. Since not everyone can afford a new computer. My reason is that i am to lazy to go out there and work my butt off to make enough money for a new computer. I guess i am out of touch or something. But, i only look for 286 games since it's all i have to enjoy anything that is known to be a part of the gaming experience. If you got any good 286 classic air craft simulation games or racing simulations. I sure would greatly appreciate it if you were able to send me those programs. But we should discuss it first before you send them out since i can decide which ones i don't have. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/Wildcat5! v2.0GC * Origin: The "CyberVault" BBS System! - Bergen County, NJ! I don't really know what I am looking 4 in the arcade, but I have a feeling that games r getting a bit 2 realistic, which takes away some of the escapism which was he reason I used 2 go 2 the arcade. Nowadays, when I enter the arcade, I don't have the feeling I used 2 have. Everything is just a reproduction of eality, instead of the complete nonsense games that required imagination 2 b made and played (I think Pac-Man is a good example). Schitt, how can I be RC> so stupid, I'm using one right now. Sounds like u have seen the light... One problem, a few things that could b improved in an arcade... First of all, whatever game one is playing, it will run perfect on the machine, 'cause that is what it's made 4. Second, the costs 4 the machine is 4 the arcade, so if you'd insert a uarter, you'd b able 2 join whoever is playing, and not having 2 have an actual PC at home Third, usually when u play thru a link, u know who u play with, that would ot b the case in an arcade. Fourth (I might keep on going 4 a while), the speed of the modem would have been ajusted 2 the game u r playing, and the other way around. Everyone ould have the same transfering speed, and would not b independant of the guy/girl with the 2400 Baud modem. Fifth, you don't have 2 configure the whole thing, it'll work! Sixth, if u get bored with the game, u just go 2 a different machine. Seventh, 640k isn't enough 4 everybody (mem stuff). Ofcourse there are also advantages 2 the PC (like privacy, keyboard and a bunch more). But that is not the point. What I m trying 2 say is that the C has as many disadvantages as it has advantages. Well, have fun with your perfect machine, LeX۲ --- Renegade v5-11 Exp * Origin: beLLa doNNa!
