I have both WP Suite 7 and Word97 on my system PH> (along with TextBridge Pro 98), so can personally attest to this. I ordered the 96 version from Xerox because I'm not using Win 95 on anything, at home or at work. The full version of the Caere OCR s/w bundled with the scanner would've included both its current Win 95 and its last Win 3.1 versions, but it was $130, while the Xerox s/w was $80 (plus shipping) and seemed to be a better value. --- Blue Wave v2.12 * Origin: * GATEWAY BBS -A friendly place to be (810)742-6126 (1:2240/320) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 163 WORD PERFECT Ref: F2L00005 Date: 02/13/98 From: BRUCE WILSON Time: 08:04am \/To: DAVID CHESSLER (Read 2 times) Subj: Re: I need Word Perfect 5 DC> $59 if ordered directly from WP. Do you mean you want something that's going to find rows with no text in any of the cells then edit the table to delete the rows? IMHO, it'd probably be most expedient to just do it the old fashioned way -- manually -- unless one had just gobs and gobs of huge tables needing to be pruned in this fashion. --- Blue Wave v2.12 * Origin: * GATEWAY BBS -A friendly place to be (810)742-6126 (1:2240/320) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 163 WORD PERFECT Ref: F2M00004 Date: 02/17/98 From: BRUCE WILSON Time: 06:33am \/To: FRANK MALLORY (Read 2 times) Subj: Re: Help FM> I do it the primitive way. You need the now hard to find WPD 5.1+ which incorporated the fax capability. AFAIK, there's no way to do it directly from plain 5.1 unless maybe there's a third-party product that'll do it, like the Bitstream/Adobe/TrueType font add-ons. --- Blue Wave v2.12 * Origin: * GATEWAY BBS -A friendly place to be (810)742-6126 (1:2240/320) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 163 WORD PERFECT Ref: F2N00000 Date: 02/17/98 From: ROLAND STINER Time: 09:15pm \/To: PHIL HEBERER (Read 2 times) Subj: WP8 suite service pac PH>I thought SP2 upgraded it to build 268? I hear the word "vision" thrown around quite a bit at work and don't quite know what it means. What is vision as far as making a product which is liked by its customers? If they're in competition with MS Word, then it would be good if they asked users of that product what they like and what it would take to make them switch. I don't see too many companies going around actually asking their customers and potential customers what they want. What I see is that they put out a product and then proclaim that that's what the marketplace wants... Is that vision? --- OLX 1.53 Private Reply?
