I just made up a test WP7 file containing a complex 300 dpi greyscale image and two 400 dpi color images. I also included 4 pages of text consisting of Abbott & Costello's original "Who's on First" routine. This is a 7 page "wpd" file. This file can be placed on a 3.5 floppy with room to spare (not compressed). You really should learn how to save images. You can import a 400 dpi image containing 176389 unique colors saved as an 8"x10" JPG file into a "wpd" file and be able to put it on a 3.5 floppy in uncompressed mode. I will be glad to send you these files for confirmation purposes. What's the closest supported NEC printer to yours? Do you have the printer manual and does it give you all the printer codes for things like underlining? If so, you may be able to choose a printer close to yours, then use the Printer program to edit those parts of the printer definition. (in the same place) if it's the same place as that preceding it or "op. cit." (already cited) with an abbreviated reference if it refers to something cited earlier. --- Via Silver Xpress V4.4P [Reg] --- QM v1.30 * Origin: FOG-Line - Ankeny Iowa - 515-964-7937 (1:290/627.0) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 163 WORD PERFECT Ref: E2L00002 Date: 02/16/97 From: PHIL HEBERER Time: 08:02am \/To: JOHN DEMOTT (Read 5 times) Subj: WP 7.0W image handling Hello John, On (14 Feb 97) John DeMott wrote to Don Nickell... Well, for some scientific journals, guidelines require the format described above. I thought there may have been a way within the footnote feature, but it looks like the only way to accomplish the necessary format is by using the reference/target feature for footnotes. It's a bit tedius but does work. Thanks for the reply. --- Sirius 1.0ya * Origin: Med TechNet/Buffalo NY/USA/bbs.medtechnet.com (1:260/10.0)
