I'm using DBLSPACE and did notice some slowing down of operation, but I can tolerate it. It doesn't bother me that much, and the extra room seems to be all I really need. I wilrl check out FIXPRE.EXE for sure, a lot of my files are old news, I just keep them on the hard drive because I want to have them availabel. Incedentally, i'm a writer, that's what i use the program for, and the requirements for writing can actually be pretty minimal (unless you go unto desktop publishing or graphics work, in which case you suddenly need all the power you can get). So it's nice to have all my old articles and journal entriesn at hand all the time. I might get a bigger hard drive, but there really is no point in upgrading an old machine like this. It still works fin, and does what I need it to do. Were I to upgrade, it would be to a laptop, so i could work whereever I wanted. --- Maximus 2.01wb * Origin: Basic'ly Computers: Mooo-ing Right Along.
