I wondered if others who saw it were bothered by the same thing I was. There was such a flagrant point of view violation. Most of the film was a flashback narrated by a very old survivor of the Titanic sinking. Yet at least a quarter of the flashback were events that she knew nothing about and could not have witnessed. Are movies exempt from point of view restrictions? Tho I have seen many flashback films, I never noticed this before. Nope, nope, nope. Get that second one out there before the first hits the shelves! The reason for that is that you CAN get an agent with a contract in hand for the first one, and you want to get the second sale on paper before the first one comes out. That way, if the sales numbers aren't there for the first one, you've got the second one in print, and it may do better, ensuring you're going to get to sell a third one. Do you see how this works? I would be willing to bet that most of the big leaguers have at least two books going at any given time, just in case one of them bombs. (That's not counting the SuperStars who could sell a scrap book, of course.) If you wait until the first book comes out to sell the second, and the first one bombs, it will be just that much harder to sell the second. This is NOT to imply that the first one WILL bomb, it's just better to be careful, because the market is nuts right now. * SLMR 2.1a * We're all here because we're not all there.... --- PCBoard (R) v15.21/M 2 * Origin: Wheels BBS - Beast and a half! While you say he has the complete backbone, I think there were some echos I couldn't find. Anyhow, using telenet means my scripts no longer work, and it's generally a lot slower. So I'm sort of holding that in reserve. (I'm still using the DOS-based COMM program for BBSing so I won't have to learn a new script language and rewrite the scripts.) -- ___ __ chessler@mix.cpcug.org d_)--/d chessler@capaccess.org ...
