No it won't. All you'll have is two dim bulbs. There is no way you can connect 12v bulbs to illuminate correctly at half voltage. Maybe the whole *circuit* will draw the 6 amps, but each bulb will still be at half voltage. You can run two six volt bulbs in series from 12 volts. But you cannot parallel two 12 volt bulbs from a six volt source and get what you want. I suppose the best way to prove it is to actually do it. -c- --- ViaMAIL!/WC4 v1.30 * Origin: Chowdanet! 20gb Amateur Radio BBS (401-331-5587) (1:323/120) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 155 OLD CARS Ref: F3300014 Date: 02/27/98 From: ROGER BABLER Time: 09:02pm \/To: ALL (Read 1 times) Subj: Old Radio Parts looking for anyone taht would be intersted in aquiring a collection of old Delco and Philco Auto Radio parts for 60's and 70's era radios. can pick up th lot dirt cheap also have some rectifier tubes for the older GM Guide units. No I didn't get it from a junk yard I got it from a guy who has his own repair shop who does only old Fords. The one he sold me was cast about twice as thick as the one my truck had originally. So apparently it was one of the newer designs that took into consideration the stress points. I will have to give the local Ford dealer a call and see if that part is still available. My recent trips down there have come out fruitless even for those little clips that hold the parking brake cables into the frame. Wouldn't happen to know of any place that would mail order the front parking light sockets would you? One of mine is rusted out and the other one is having a hard time holding onto the light bulb. The local dealer no longer carries these.
