PL> As I am watching the tape of First Contact, an officer is telling worf PL> that the Borg control decks 26-11, so it seems that there are 26 decks PL> on a Soverign Class ship..... Indeed? Hmmm.. I would've thought they'd use a Intrepid Class ship for that movie (like the Voyager) BUT they can't have such a small ship for the Flagship of the fleet, now can they? I meant small in the respect that a Soverign Class StarShip is pretty big when put up against the Defiant or most other ships in the fleet. But that is quite a few decks! Roomy enough for any Borg to take up residence in comfortably. One thing they learned from the Galaxy Class design was that a saucer section couldn't clear its mooring clamps quick enough to escape a warp core breach (Generations). One thing that eludes me though, why didn't they eject the core when they knew it was going to breach? That has been a question in the back of my mind for almost 3 years. I never heard a reason for them not ejecting the core. And I have watched the movie several times. But then again, this is STAR TREK. No ship has ever lasted that long in the fleet. 7 years? That is unheard of where I am from! Martin ...
