I really like the mid-sixties T-birds. This 1984 is just MH>something I am working on for my son. If he doesn't want it, then I will sel MH>it. I spent most of today repairing the windows. It turns out Ford wants $70 MH>each for the little plastic gear kits for the motors. I bought 2, and then MH>found them at Auto Zone for $29. Ford also wants $100+ for the entire motor, MH>and both Auto Zone and Advance offer them for $59 and $69. So, now I got Heheh, it always goes that way with parts...I remember trying to get a power steering pump resivor a few years ago, they only used that style in '63 so they were extremly pricey, I finally found one locally in a galaxy for $20. MH>Tell me more about your 63, and tell me what you have planned for it. I am MH>happy to swap stories, and perhaps learn a little in the process. I did a lot of work when I first got it...bought a lot of new suspension parts and a complete engine rebuild. I haven't driven it more than 1000 miles since I did most of the work 7 years ago. I'm contemplating selling it since I really don't have the time nor money to restore it. ___ X OLX 2.1 TD X All hope abandon, ye who enter messages here. --- Maximus 3.01 * Origin: The Coffee House (1:293/642) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 155 OLD CARS Ref: DEE00013 Date: 10/09/96 From: LANDON ROBINSON Time: 11:16am \/To: JOHN BERNARD (Read 2 times) Subj: Re: Chevy engine -=> Quoting John Bernard to Lori Harvey <=- JB> @MSGID: 1:252/305@fidonet.org 65f8b664 -> I don't know how many times we've run my husband's 400 out of oil, -> then put oil in it, and it shapes up once again. I have both engines in 1. a 2.2 daytona with 200k miles and a 2.
